Information You Send
Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party service that supplies the results. Cerritos Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. A message sent through a contact channel contains whatever the sender chooses to include and is used to answer that message.
Automatic Technical Data
The hosting environment may record ordinary server-log details such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. These details may be reviewed in aggregate to keep the service stable and understand general page use. Basic cookies or similar tools may also support analytics or, where present, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
Technical and message data may be used to operate the pages, diagnose faults, measure broad traffic, and improve the reference. No visitor list is sold, and no individual reader profile is built from these limited sources.
Links to Outside Services
The pages link to Los Angeles County and California records portals, Cerritos Library, archives, and third-party search providers. Each outside service has its own privacy notice and controls what happens to information submitted there. The sponsored search results are supplied by a third party and are governed by that provider's terms and practices.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may handle server logs as part of keeping the pages online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above when those tools are enabled. Information is disclosed in response to valid legal process and otherwise is not shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for as long as the operational purposes require. There are no user accounts here, so the service does not hold a password or resident profile for a reader.
People Under 18
Cerritos Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The service does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, the parent or guardian may use the Contact page to ask that it be removed.
California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives eligible residents rights that can include knowing what a covered business collects or shares, requesting deletion or correction subject to exceptions, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting certain sensitive-information uses, and receiving equal treatment. The California Attorney General's privacy guidance explains the current scope. California Civil Code section 1798.99.80 also supplies the state data-broker framework, with the California DROP platform providing a state deletion route for registered brokers.
Because this reference keeps very little, a request normally concerns a contact message or limited technical log. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Cerritos, Los Angeles County, California agencies, courts, or libraries are outside this service's control. The Cerritos public-record request route and the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000-7931.000, govern requests to those custodians, not deletion from this private reference.
